  • Founder & CEO

    Nickhath Sheriff is the Founder and CEO of Seattle-based nonprofit, MCRC (Muslim Community Resource Center). She has 30+ years of experience with nonprofits, serves on the Board of Directors for Hopelink, has been on the Leadership Eastside's steering committee and has helped develop the Bellevue Backpack Meals and Cultural Conversation programs. Nickhath puts her passion and energy for public service towards Essentials First and is responsible for strategic planning and policy development. She has been instrumental in shaping Essentials First from the ground up and has overseen the organisation's substantial growth since its inception.

  • Co-founder & President

    Nabrath is a young leader who is passionate about making a difference in her community. She began Essentials First (known as Kits for Peace previously) after recognizing the dire need for hygiene kits for people experiencing homelessness. Other than her nonprofit work, she is also a student at the University of Washington, pursuing a degree in law, economics, and public policy.
