Community Connection in Kent: Strong Community Initiative Giveaway

On Saturday, June 27, our team joined the Kent City Celebration Church International for their Community Giveaway – Strong Community Initiative, an event focused on supporting and uplifting local families.

Throughout the event, many community members visited our Essentials First table to learn more about our mission and the services we provide. We shared informational flyers, engaged in meaningful conversations, and distributed hygiene items to support immediate needs. We estimate that approximately 50 people stopped by our booth during the event.

The response from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Many expressed gratitude for the work being done to address hygiene access and shared appreciation for the resources provided. These moments of connection continue to reinforce how essential dignity-centered support is within community spaces.

We are grateful to Kent City Celebration Church International for hosting this event and for the opportunity to be part of such a welcoming and community-driven initiative.
