Essentials First Connects with Community at Renton River Days
Community outreach creates opportunities to connect, share resources, and ensure more people know where to find support.
On Saturday, July 25, the Essentials First team participated in Renton River Days, a community celebration that brought approximately 500 attendees to downtown Renton. Throughout the event, our team connected with neighbors, shared information about our programs and services, and distributed flyers to help community members learn more about available hygiene resources.
Many attendees expressed appreciation for the work Essentials First does to support access to essential hygiene supplies and other resources. For several visitors, it was their first time learning about our organization—making the event an important opportunity to increase awareness and connect more people with support.
We are grateful to the Renton River Days organizers for welcoming Essentials First and providing a space where we could engage directly with the community. Events like this help strengthen relationships, build awareness, and ensure that more neighbors know they have access to resources that support health, dignity, and well-being.
Thank you to everyone who visited our table and took the time to learn more about our mission. We look forward to continuing to show up in communities across the region.
